Abstract :
Medium access control (MAC) protocol is an important component of wireless sensor network protocol, and network performance (such as throughput, capacity, time delay and power consumption, etc) depends on the MAC protocol used, which is also one of the major technical difficulties for wireless sensor network design. This paper points out the main problem of the MAC protocol design for wireless sensor networks, and does some analysis and research on several typical MAC protocols, as well as analyzes the research and application directions of MAC protocols for wireless sensor network.
