Abstract :
The paper considers an algorithm for automatic devices functioning meant for prevention and elimination of asynchronous operation and its instrumentation as well as selection methods for setting parameters. In the Baltic countries, microprocessor devices based on the idea of checking the angle between two simulated voltages are widely recognised. This can be explained by the arrangement of the generating equipment and by the structure of power networks in this region that made it necessary to design special methods and tools for prevention and elimination of asynchronous operation.
