Abstract :
In this paper, the authors present an AHP (analytic hierarchy process) approach to evaluating various disassembly strategies for a product take-back program. They establish criteria such as labor costs, transportation costs, and pollution to distinguish between the environmental costs to the society and the costs to the firm. Disassembly strategies are then compared with respect to those criteria. An example from an electronics company is used
