Abstract
An expert system approach is described for the determination of 3-phase AC supply line 5/sup th/ and 7/sup th/ harmonic currents produced by multiple PWM inverter induction motor drives connected in parallel to the supply system and operating at their rated power outputs. The approach is illustrated using the simulated performance. The master rule structure of the expert system is described and further development of the knowledge base is briefly discussed.
