Abstract
Dianchi Lake is one of the three most seriously eutrophic lakes in China. In the present study, the nitrogen fractions and vertical profiles of various nitrogen forms in 11 sediment cores sampled in the Dianchi Lake were investigated. The results showed that the total nitrogen content ranged from 1596.60 to 3238.68 mg/kg, and the contribution to total nitrogen of transferrable nitrogen and fixed nitrogen is close. The vertical profiles of total nitrogen were coincidence in the pollution history of Dianchi Lake.
