Abstract :
In this paper, the fault tree analysis method is used to analyze the reliability of excitation controller of synchronous generator. The structural block of the controller is constructed based on its operation principle. Then the controller´s fault tree can be automatically drawn out based on the failure mode of every unit or component. The reliable degree of controller can be calculated and the curve of its reliable degree function can be drawn out according to the chosen failure rate of every component and unit.
