Abstract :
This document presents QSSSEPS, a Quasi-Stationary State Simulator for Electrical Power Systems implemented in MATLAB. Its use is twofold: It can be used as an effective teaching tool as well as a research support tool to analyze electromechanical phenomena in electrical power systems. Specifically, QSSSEPS is a GUI, which facilitates the simulation of an electrical power system with induction motors in transitory regimen connected to it. To this end, QSSSEPS provides algorithms for both power flows and extended harmonic domain. The latter is an instrument based on Fourier series, phasor dynamics and operational matrices.
