Abstract :
In this study, satellites are examined from the electromagnetic viewpoint. Satellites designed without taking into account electromagnetic compatibility during their design phases can experience severe interference problems in launch phase and in orbit. Electromagnetic interferences can result in performance degradation, loss of functions or even total loss of mission. Nowadays, increasing use of electromagnetic spectrum at modern satellites requires extensive analysis, simulation and test efforts to have electromagnetically shielded platforms. Within the scope of this work, electromagnetic shielding parts of satellites and their shielding properties are demonstrated.
