One type of special resources in Petri nets models of Flexible Manufacturing Systems

Abstract :
This paper discusses some attributes concern with the components of siphons, and defines one type of resources with special location in a class of Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) Petri nets models N named S3PR. It is proved that neither these resources would be contained in each arbitrary Strict Minimal Siphon (SMS) or elementary siphon of S3PR, nor those operation places that use these resources. Finally, the application perspective of the type of special resources is briefly introduced.
