Abstract :
The modeling and analysis of wideband transmission line transformers (TLTs) are presented in this paper. The innovative transmission-line impedance-based methodologies are proposed to evaluate the significant parameters of the transmission line first. The complete equivalent models of the basic 1:1 isolating TLT and high turns ratio TLTs are presented and the validity of this proposed model is confirmed by the excellent match between the simulated results and experimental data. Some important characteristics of high turns ratio isolating TLTs are discovered and discussed in this paper
