  • Abstract
This paper presents a multi-channel vacuum oven control system that can perform the cycles of pumping vacuum and filling nitrogen repeatedly. The developed control system contains four vacuum ovens which can be operated simultaneously to dehumidify aviation instruments efficiently. Each oven is installed with one temperature channel and one pressure channel to monitor and control its temperature and pressure respectively. The task curve of each control channel can be defined by users through chart editing and parameter setting. The system will then perform the curve-tracking of temperature and pressure for the respective temperature channel and pressure channel to carry out the cycles of pumping vacuum and filling nitrogen to complete the dehumidification operation. Therefore, this system can highly ensure the flight safety by preventing the humidity within numerous aviation instruments from freezing to cause malfunction during flight.
