Abstract :
This paper presents a complete modeling and performance analysis of six phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drive system supplied by two voltage source inverters. The Six phase PMSM drive system is reliable, reduces the stator current per phase, and posses high degree of freedom as compared to conventional three phase drives. Vector control technique is used with two Pulse width modulated (PWM) inverters. The proposed model is simulated under various load conditions such as no load, steady load and dynamic load. Computer simulations obtained under various operating conditions have been presented and found satisfactory.
