Abstract
The authors describe an experiment conducted to detect the resonances in the RCS (radar cross-section) spectrum of a partially open conducting rectangular box. The advantage of measuring a rectangular box is that the effect of polarization can be observed. In addition, the resonances in the RCS spectrum can be easily identified and interpreted in terms of the internal modes of the closed cavity. Measurement results for both the E-polarized and the H-polarized cases are shown.<>
