Abstract :
This paper investigates the influence of some means to limit the short-circuit current level (busbars splitting in switchgear substations or the transformer windings grounding) on the circuit breakers capability, from the point of view of transient recovery voltage (TRV). An approach for TRV evaluation was developed (based on the EMTP program usage) and applied for two SF6 switchgear substations
