Abstract :
We present the techniques of recognizing pulmonary structure for differential diagnosis of lung cancer based on multidetector-row computed tomography (MDCT) images. These techniques consist of two steps. In the first step, we extract the pulmonary organs, such as vessels and bronchus using anatomical information and a 3D image processing method from MDCT images. As second step, these extracted regions are classified. This classification enables the lung tumor position to be recognized
