Abstract
Following the work of Francis (1977) for linear systems, Isidori and Bymes (1990) showed that the robust output tracking problem for nonlinear system should be considered in terms of two inputs: a “particular control” to drive the output along the prescribed trajectory, and a feedback control to handle modeling areas, disturbances, etc. We discuss various approaches to compute the particular control which we call the “particular solution”
