Abstract :
This paper offers three contributions. First, it introduces a novel scattering approach to the load flow problem resulting in a geometric representation of its solutions. Second, it introduces a decentralized load flow approach by which information about another load can be determined from local measurements at a different bus. Third, it introduces scattering matrix based measures of power network capacity, again using a geometric approach. The concepts proposed are illustrated on a three bus power network.
