Abstract
The locally planar theory is applied to arbitrarily shaped finite FSSs (frequency selective surfaces) with nonplanar wave illumination. The inductive FSS is considered, and each local planar area consists of a single unit cell (aperture). A number of experiments have been performed on planar and 2-D hyperbolic (cylindrical) FSSs. The experimental results are presented along with theory.<>
