Abstract :
An improved fourth order nonlinear diffusion filtering method is presented. An edge-detection function is introduced and the new method can adjust the diffusion speed adaptively. Compared to some previous high order filtering, the proposed method can preserve edges while denoising. Experimental results demonstrate the performance of the new fourth order nonlinear diffusion method.
