Abstract :
New approaches of low-cost hybrid active power filters, which consist of an LC circuit for the harmonics suppression and reactive power compensation of power systems are presented. The notably reduced VA rating of the high-frequency power converter, the compensation principle and the control criteria are analyzed. Finally, simulation results show that good performance of the proposed power filtering systems is obtained.
