Abstract
In previous articles we have proved that it was possible to modify the hydrodynamic parameters of high speed jets of diesel oil with electrical processes. The modifications were observed on the velocity, the size of the droplets and on their distribution in the space with a PDPA system. From these experiments we had concluded that the electrification of the jet (injection of electric charges in the liquid) increased the diameter of the droplets most of the time. In this article we present new measurements done with a Malvern diffraction laser system. Our conclusions are totally different from those we deduced from previous measurements. We will try to explain why we have had this apparent contradiction.
