Abstract :
A microprocessor based system provides 24-hour remote surveillance and control of remote telecommunication equipment. The system allows automatic manning without human intervention and the presence of manpower at the centre. The paper describes the design and development of an intelligent microprocessor based system. The features on real-time point-to-point digital communication between the telecommunication equipment and host computer are presented
