Abstract :
The ISENET (Integrated Simulation Environment Networks), implemented on SUN/4 engineering workstations, is a set of simulation tools for computer communication networks. ISENET comprises a modeling interface, simulation processor SIMNET (Simulation Networks) and a post processor. The SIMNET system is based on an extended queueing network model and simulation method. The paper describes the basic concepts and functions of SIMNET and discusses several important technical considerations of ISENET
