Abstract
A thyristor switched capacitor (TSC) bank for power system bus voltage control has been developed. The control of the TSC is implemented using a microcontroller. It is shown that the response of the system to the VAr demand when a load is switched is very fast, and that bus voltage could be corrected by the fast reaction of the microcontroller
