Abstract
An algorithm is proposed for finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method simulating of square electrode. To derive the electromagnetic field variation near the electrode, an electrostatically charged square electrode is involved and the field is decoupled into 4 parts. Each part can be derived from the integral of the differential electric field which is radiated by the distributed charge on one surface of the square electrode. The accuracy of the proposed representation algorithm has been approved from comparison with high-resolution standard FDTD simulation results.
