Abstract :
We have successfully demonstrated optical amplification using a planar PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) optical waveguide with doped Eu-Al nanoclusters. The optical gain of 5.57dB/mm was observed while well suppressing the concentration quenching. copy2006 Optical Society of America
