Abstract :
An opposed slot antenna with small dimensions of 220 mm by 250 mm is designed by a novel method of resistive loading to acquire high radiation power and it is fed by a bipolar pulse 1 ns peak-peak duration. There are fewer multiple reflections from different parts of the antenna in results that the duration of the radiation waveform´s trailing is only 1.2 ns and the amplitude of which is 0.06 V/m while the maximum amplitude of the radiation waveform is nearly 2.4 V/m. The antenna with resistor loaded has good fidelity and better directionality.
