Abstract :
High temperature superconducting (HTS) generator has shown great advantages in high efficiency, low excitation loss and weight. HTS linear generator has drawn more and more attention for its simple structure and applicability of high-speed linear motion. It also provides an option to use linear mechanical power efficiently for generation. In this paper, a HTS linear generator is designed and investigated under sinusoidal driving mode. Its output and structure characteristics are analyzed to provide a base for practical design and use of HTS linear generator.
