Abstract :
The fundamental field characteristics of the radiation of a patch antenna in a magnetized plasma is investigated by using the spatial network method (SNM) for the conditions of perpendicular and parallel constant magnetic field. By vector analysis, the formation process of the spatial field of the radiated wave is shown for a linearly polarized wave in the time domain. To examine the fundamental validity of the SNM formulation, extraordinary mode propagation for the transversely magnetized condition was simulated. Numerical results show that the radiation characteristics of path antennas are different from those in free space.<>
