Abstract :
A method for the design of the state feedback loop of a boost converter is presented. Based on the continuous average model the dynamics of the perturbed system are analyzed. The described procedure consists of two design steps. First the feedback gain vector of a state controller, which is introduced to the linear system, is designed by solving the characteristic polynominal. Second the limits of the pole placements are determined via time domain simulations to ensure global stability. The applicability of the proposed method has been verified by simulating different cases of large parameter variation.
