Abstract :
Unidirectional reflective Gires-Tournois interferometer consisting of a completely reflective and an absorbing semitransparent metallic mirrors, and a dielectric layer between them, is correctly analysed using the method of single expression (MSE). Interferometer´s spectral characteristics versus the distance between mirrors for different values of semitransparent mirror thickness are obtained. Optimal parameters of the interferometer for maximal reflection and maximal absorption of light are defined. Electric field distribution within the whole structure of the interferometer for maximal reflection and absorption are obtained.
