Abstract
An analytical solution to the problem of scattering of a plane electromagnetic wave by an array of conducting spheres each coated with a dielectric layer is derived by using the multipole expansion method as well as the vector spherical translation addition theorem. Numerical results are computed and presented graphically for the backscattering cross section of the array.
