Abstract :
This paper presents a novel approach to estimate the vibration frequencies of the switched reluctance motor (SRM). A nonlinear model is developed in MATLAB / SIMULINK environment using the inductance profile. Dynamic characteristics are simulated and electromagnetic torque in time domain is obtained. Fast Fourier transform (FFT) is used to analyze the electromagnetic torque in frequency domain. From the analysis, resonant frequencies of the electromagnetic torque are obtained, which are the estimated mechanical vibration frequencies of the SRM. Results for current control and voltage control modes are presented.
