Abstract
The paper has studied a new method for the design of 2D FIR highpass filters and bandstop digital filters with a nonideal frequency characteristic model function. The design formulae are simple and calculate conveniently. One can gain the results of satisfying specifications with only a one-time calculation. It overcomes the problems of the convergence speed, design precision and checking the original value in this optimal design. Some simulation results are provided
