Abstract :
Statistical characteristics of well-known and new estimates of meteorological formations (MF) parameters in pulsed Doppler weather radars (PDWR) with arbitrary staggering of pulse repetition intervals are determined. Their dependences on training sample size, power of MF, type and level of interperiod correlation of reflections from MF are analyzed. On a number of criteria, there are chosen the most effective for use in PDWR estimates. Rational ways of their practical implementation are proved.
