Abstract
With the developing of medium frequency induction heating technology and the increasing capacity of static inverters, a multi-load system supplied by a power plant with medium frequency inverters can be considered, which previously consisted of rotating generators. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of such an induction heating power plant system are studied using a computer simulation method, such as the switch-on or switch-off of a load or a single inverter to or from the plant and the protection process in the case of commutation failure of an individual inverter. The simulation results provide a useful basis for analysis and design of an induction heating power plant system
