Abstract :
This paper presents a new method for reactive power compensation including active filtering of the mains supply. Two instantaneous electrical measurement quantities, shifting reactive power and system load exchange reactive power, are introduced for power state analysis in nonsinusoidal conditions. If the time reference is selected properly, the shifting reactive power and the system load exchange reactive power can be represented very conveniently in a d-g system. Based on the new method, used to analyze reactive power in nonsinusoidal conditions, a digital controller of an active filter is described. Finally results of computer simulation are given
