Abstract
The ECA rules and active database concepts is introduced into geospatial database updating, this paper presents the basic process of geospatial databases updating actively which is controlled by GECA (Geo-Event Condition Action) rules. The description and definition of the basic geography events, composite geography events, and cause-effect geography events are studied. This paper establishes the logic expression model for Geo-Event, while the updating conditions and action are classified and described. The paper presents implementation model for geospatial data updating actively controlled by GECA rules. Finally, the specific example is given. Practice has proved that, the method can greatly improve the automation and intelligent level of data updating.
