Abstract :
This paper describes efforts to develop a microcomputer-based parameter identification system for a brushless DC motor (BDCM). A BDCM is equal to a DC motor in the equivalent circuit. Therefore, Pasek´s equation for the parameter determination of a DC motor is applicable to a BDCM. A new identification algorithm for BDCM parameters using Pasek´s technique is developed. The algorithm is implemented on an IBM-PC/AT using the C language
