Abstract
Data center is an important form of cloud computing, network security of data center is also very important. The firewall has been used widely as an important tool for network security. This paper described a firewall named DC-Firewall for virtual machines in a data center, especially for the virtual machines in a P2P network. Different from previous research, this paper wants to emphasize the importance of distributed model and message control in the study of network security in data centers. The discussion of distributed architecture forms the major concern of the present study. For different topology of P2P network, DC-Firewall used modular design to provide extensibility of architecture. Some useful implications obtained from this system include the architecture of distributed firewalls and message-oriented engine in software defined P2P networks.
