Abstract :
A prototype system on augmented reality based conceptual design platform is proposed in this paper. Based on the stereo vision methods, the stereo localization system implements the tracing of the sculpture tools and the mock-up. In this paper, a calibration method is applied which uses a planar pattern, and accurate camera´s parameters are obtained through the CCD calibrating of the prototype system. The experiment results show that although there is severe nonlinear distortion in the lens, the perfect image can be obtained by correcting lens distortion.
