Abstract
Passive radars exploit emitters of opportunity for targets illumination. The transmitter is often placed on high towers. The target is illuminated instantaneously by direct wave and the indirect one, reflected from the ground. Both waves interfere and change the passive radar coverage and detection properties. The paper highlights this phenomenon and presents the way, in which described phenomena can be used to improve PCL radar properties.
