Abstract :
The improvement in the performance of the permanent magnet brushless DC drive through an EMF injection scheme for a current regulated PWM inverter has been considered in this paper. Simulation results based on a general purpose permanent magnet brushless DC drive has shown that the feedforward of the back EMFs at the output of the current controller will cause the drive to produce a faster response of transient torque, and the motor can have a larger speed bandwidth and a shorter rise time
