Abstract
This paper presents a study on Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) based augmented Integrity Navigation Architecture (SARINA) system designing for UAV and missile platforms. The SARINA system is an advanced concept of air platform Inertial Navigation System, which takes an advantage of used SAR sensor for Earth imaging. The presents system created the 2D SAR and 3D InSAR images, which are respectively correlated with the onboard landmark and digital elevation model (DEM) databases. This operation allowed to compensate an air platform drift due to Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) errors, Global Positioning System (GPS) lack of integrity, etc.
