Abstract
In this paper, an aircraft cable intelligent fault diagnosis and location system based on time domain reflection (TDR) is introduced. The TDR system is composed of following four instruments: the pulse generator and transmitter circuit for generating the reference signal, the impedance matching circuit for reducing the signal distortion, the signal acquisition system for acquiring the reference signal and reflected signal, and the computer for performing the control of total devices and the execution of the whole program. The system uses a low voltage short rise time pulse as reference signal. Wavelet denoising method and bubble sort method are separately used to reduce signal noise and carry out data processing, fault diagnosis and location. LabVIEW is applied to implement operation and control interface. Utilizing the powerful calculating capability and the abundant function of LabVIEW, the signal processing turn out to be easily realized. The usefulness of the proposed system and methodology is verified by experiments.
