Abstract
Techniques similar to delta-sigma (ΣΔ) modulation can be used to spectrally shape the static mismatch errors of multi-bit delta-sigma converters. Algorithms to shape the mismatch-error for lowpass and bandpass applications are covered. Both simulation and test results show that the signal-to-noise and distortion-ratio (SNDR) of a ΣΔ DAC is improved when mismatch-shaping is used
