Abstract :
In this paper we focus on the problem of target direction of arrival (DOA) estimation with radar equipped with digital beam forming. Two different space-time adaptive processing (STAP) schemes are considered based on a dual cancelled channels approach. The effectiveness of these schemes is demonstrated via the application to a set of real data showing that they are able to yield comparable estimation accuracy with respect to the standard maximum likelihood estimator exploiting all the available channels while significantly reducing the required computational load.
