Abstract
Differential geometric structures derived from statistics are a new and increasing topic of mathematics. A new discipline arise from this ideas, called information geometry which considers Fishers information metric from the differential geometric view and gives new insights in statistics and estimation theory. Also first applications to engineering areas like signal processing and tracking are discovered.
