Abstract :
Applying cluster of workstations in the field of parallel processing to solve massive computing problems is a new idea. A message-passing system, which handles synchronization and communication, is widely used in clusters of workstations. This mechanism contains a lot of cooperative work, which is also the research topic of another field, namely, computer supported cooperative work. We introduce the temporal logic to describe the time sequence of processes, and also put forward a temporal management method to deal with the cooperative work in COW. An example is also introduced to show the temporal management method in SIDSS.
