Abstract :
The customers access Internet services via different access approaches; accordingly, the traffic collection techniques served for network management and accounting systems are different. The paper introduces several key techniques on network traffic collections for Network Traffic Accounting System development; each traffic collection technique possesses different advantages and different effects on device performance, suiting for different scenarios. Current Traffic Accounting Systems typically comprise Traffic Collection, Data Statistics, Accounting Information Query, Accounting Rule Configuration and Users management, involving several CSCW concepts and techniques. It is practical to for enterprises to develop their own accounting systems according to these traffic collection techniques and approaches.
